Breastfeeding is advantageous to both mother and her new born both physically and psychologically. Women who have undergone implant surgery may have more sensitive nipples than the ones without implants. This can cause severe pain during breast feeding. Moreover, after the delivery, as soon as milk secretion starts, there is exaggerated breast enlargement leading to fever; pain and chills, especially in women having implants. Some females may complain about low milk production due to some nerve damage or due to hampering of the milk duct system.

However, don’t be discouraged by this. As every cloud has a silver lining, this problem also has a solution. Research shows that only twenty eight to sixty four percent females suffer from milk insufficiency, breast feeding with implants may not be any problem for you. Many women have turned to formula for the first year of nutrients for a variety of other reasons. So do not feel bad about your breast implant decision. There are a number of women with breast implants that are successful in breast feeding their babies as long as they wish.
